About European Evaluation Academy

The European Evaluation Academy was founded in September 2020 as a non-profit organisation. It is a competence and training centre that promotes the exchange and transfer of knowledge in evaluation across (European) borders.

Evaluators worldwide make an important contribution to sustainable social development. They use scientific tools to identify the potential of projects, programmes and policies. The EEA is committed to the further development of the field of evaluation with the purpose to promote good evaluation practice.

Activities

  • The EEA is currently in its development phase and is looking for creative minds who are interested in contributing to the pooling of knowledge and networking of players in a future-oriented professional field.

  • As an intern at EEA, you will be involved in the development and implementation of a wide range of activities with a focus on consultancy, training, knowledge management and networking in the field of evaluation.

  • You will have the opportunity to contribute to concrete projects. In this context, you will learn about the requirements and framework conditions of evaluation in different policy fields (culture, education, environment etc.), as well as across policy fields.

  • For instance, you can support the following projects:
evaluators@school: We match evaluators with students so that they can learn where and how evaluation is used and discuss the differences between good and bad decisions. They can even conduct a small evaluation themselves with the help of experienced practitioners. The conceptual framework for evaluators@school has been developed already, now it is time to move on to the pilot stage! For that, we need communicators and committed people, who enjoy connecting with evaluators, students and teachers. We also need organisational talents, who can help with coordination and fundraising, and creatives to prepare and convey complex content for the target group.
Datenbanken: Unfortunately, there is only limited exchange of experiences and knowledge across borders and cultural and language barriers. This is highly relevant, especially in areas where urgent problems need to be tackled with a relatively low budget – such as in education, integration, environmental protection, arts and culture as well as urban development and mobility. We are looking for programmers, who can help us grow! For our training opportunities and other international projects we need different databases in order to collect, translate and publish data, information and knowledge. That is why we urgently need dedicated support for our experienced developer and programmer. Programmers who enjoy demanding and sustainable solutions that are implemented technically clean in open source software, are very welcome!

  • The EEA has an office in Bern and in Berlin that you can work from. In order to respond to the constantly changing situation of the Corona pandemic, you can also work from home.

We look forward to hearing from you!

If you are interested in joining the EEA, we would appreciate a short introduction of yourself (including information on the reasons for your interest, desired start date as well as possible connection to and previous experience with evaluation).
